Jerry Jeudy on Broncos QB Drew Lock: 'He's going to have a better season next year'

February 5, 2021 by Broncos Wire Leave a Comment

Last year, when COVID-19 regulations allowed it, Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock got teammates together for offseason passing sessions at a local park and at a local high school.

Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy expects the unofficial practices to continue this offseason.

“Oh, yeah, for sure,” Jeudy said when asked if Lock has reached out to him about offseason passing sessions. “We talked about that at the last game of the season. He talked about linking up and just getting some throws in and getting that chemistry down pat.”

Lock’s future in Denver is uncertain as rumors about the team potentially pursuing Deshaun Watson have stolen the offseason spotlight. Jeudy only had good things to say about his current quarterback.

“I feel like Lock’s a great quarterback,” Jeudy said. “You know, there’s some things he can work on, and I feel like that’s everybody — everybody’s got stuff they need to work on as an individual. But, I feel like he’s a great player, and I feel like he’s going to have a better season next year.”

Jeudy will aim to improve his chemistry with Lock this offseason, looking to build on his promising rookie season. Last month, Tim Patrick said Denver’s wide receiver group has the potential to be “unstoppable” in 2021, headlined by Courtland Sutton, Jeudy, Patrick and KJ Hamler. Jeudy agreed with his teammate’s assessment.

“We could most definitely become the best receiver corps,” Jeudy said. “I feel like we’ve got the talent, we’ve got speed, we got the athleticism, we got the players.”

Jeudy spoke with Broncos Wire as part of a promotion for P&G’s #ThisorThatSBLV TikTok Challenge. The challenge provides Old Spice and Gillette-themed TikTok banners for the viral “this or that” trend.

Jeudy joined the challenge, picking the Kansas City Chiefs to defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV.
