Jerry Jeudy has big expectations for Broncos' offense this season

July 5, 2022 by Broncos Wire

Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy is entering an important season in his career.

After showing flashes of brilliance as a rookie in 2020, Jeudy was hindered by poor quarterback play and injuries in 2021, finishing his second season without a single touchdown catch.

Jeudy’s now entering his third season in the league. He’s healthy and he has a new star quarterback in Russell Wilson. He took advantage of having Wilson available as a resource during the team’s offseason program in the spring.

“It’s been good, just watching film, coming in here earlier and just going over certain plays and certain route concepts and stuff like that,” Jeudy said of his work with Wilson on June 14. “It’s been a lot of help.”

Jeudy hasn’t revealed his personal goals for the 2022 season, merely saying he wants — and expects — improvement from last season.

“Just doing better than I did last year,” Jeudy said. “[I’m] just focused on the little things, the details, and just becoming a better player than I was the past two years. Russ coming in and [Nathaniel] Hackett, and all the other guys coming in — I mean, our offense is a better offense. I’m excited for this year.”

With a capable new quarterback and a multitude of weapons, Denver’s offense is poised to take a big step forward this fall.

“The ceiling is high,” Jeudy said. “There’s going to be a lot of big plays, a lot of opportunities and a lot of explosiveness are going to be made out there. [The offense is] going to be exciting, for real.”
