NFL football has returned!
After a long offseason, the 2023 NFL season will kick off on Thursday evening when the Kansas City Chiefs (0-0) host the Detroit Lions (0-0) at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
Kickoff for the season opener has been set for 6:20 p.m. MT. The game will be nationally televised on NBC and football fans can stream the game on fuboTV (try it free).
Mike Tirico (play-by-play) and Cris Collinsworth (analyst) will call the game for NBC with Melissa Stark reporting on the sideline.
On the radio, the game will be nationally broadcast on Westwood One with Kevin Harlan and Kurt Warner providing commentary.
The Chiefs went 14-3 last year and eventually defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII. The Lions went 9-8 last season and missed out on the playoffs on a tiebreaker.
Kansas City leads the all-time series against Detroit 9-5, including a 34-30 victory in their most recent meeting in 2019.
