The Denver Broncos are locked and loaded with a full cast of players. What does their choice in undrafted free agents say about their roste
- 3 wide receivers
- 4 offensive linemen
- 1 edge
- 2 defensive linemen
- 2 linebackers
- 2 cornerbacks
Let’s start off by saying that reading too much into a list like this is silly. The Broncos can only offer these guys to join. They don’t have to say yes. It is possible, for instance, that the Broncos really wanted a couple of running backs in this group, but the guys they invited chose other teams with better opportunities.
But when we look at this list and the Broncos roster, here’s what I think based on this group:
- The Broncos really want another talented wide receiver to emerge, as the talent there isn’t where the team wants it.
- The team is always looking for an undrafted lineman to show the coaching staff that they have something worth developing
- Linebackers are always in demand for this team
- I don’t think this coaching staff is satisfied with our depth at cornerback
Of all of these guys, I really like what I’ve seen of Marques Cox. I think he’s got a better than average shot of finding a spot on the roster and may have a bright future with the Broncos.
