A key contributor set to return in 2025.

It seems like not so long ago that a faction of Broncos Country took exception to Alex Singleton being featured on a promotional banner, signifying a level of greatness with the team some didn’t agree with.

It turns out that someone in the Broncos marketing office knew exactly what they were doing. His four consecutive seasons with 120+ tackles, including back-to-back 160+ tackle seasons in his first two years with the Broncos demonstrate his importance to this team. This Broncos team that went to the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade – without him. Singleton played in just three games before tearing his ACL, sidelining him for the 2024 season.

This season, the Broncos are even better with their free agent acquisitions and draft picks bent toward improving an already stout Denver defense. With OTAs beginning on May 27, it’s unclear the level of participation Singleton will have this early, but it really doesn’t matter at this point anyway. The real goal is to be ready for the start of training camp that is now just a handful of weeks away.

ACL tears can be nasty business. While there is no guarantee that he will return to the his tackle monster ways when he gets back on the field, it’s certain that Broncos leadership needs him to contribute at a high level in order to take that next great big step-winning a playoff game.

Alex Singleton has been a baller in tough times. Let’s see what he can do when his efforts have every opportunity to help the Broncos go deep into the playoffs.
