Horse Tracks: 3 Broncos not named Bo Nix to watch in 2025

Have you looked? Denver is coming into 2025 loaded!

Holy crud, don’t look now, but training camp will be underway this week. The story of the Broncos 2025 season is yet to be written, but we certainly know who the stars should be. While the hype around Bo Nix is real and warranted, there are an entire cast of characters that are going to be almost as impactful shaping the season. This is who I’m excited to see most.

Jahdae Barron
In case you forgot in the offseason, Denver’s secondary got a huge boost in the first round of the NFL draft this year. While it may take some time for him to get to premier form while he adjusts to the pro game, Barron will be a force. Playing opposite of Patrick Surtain II, he has the potential to become an elite ball hawk. Throwing the ball against Denver just got all that much more difficult.

Dre Greenlaw
After 5-years in San Francisco, Greenlaw signed a 3-year $35 million contract with the Broncos. Greenlaw will look to add toughness and ferocity to a linebacker group headlined by Nik Bonito, Jonathan Cooper, and Drew Sanders. Greenlaw looks to be an additional playmaker on an already great defense.

Troy Franklin
2024 was the season of almosts for Troy Franklin. After being one of Bo Nix’s favorite targets at Oregon, Franklin struggled to make the big-time catches thrown his direction. With the learning curve as a freshman behind him, expectations will be that he pull in those passes that eluded him last year. It’s clear that Bo Nix trusts the young receiver, now it’s incumbent upon Franklin to deliver in 2025.

The start of training camp is a little more than hours away. After a long offseason, it’s going to be exciting to watch these players make their statement for 2025. Barron, Greenlaw, and Franklin are just three of the stories to get excited about this season. Who are you stoked to see?
