Graham Glasgow's a versatile, valuable lineman for Broncos

August 18, 2022 by Broncos Wire

Graham Glasgow’s not listed as a starter on the Denver Broncos’ depth chart, but he’s still one of the team’s key offensive linemen going into the 2022 season.

Glasgow, 30, is a seventh-year veteran with 78 career starts. Glasgow is primarily a guard for the Broncos, but he also has a full season of starting experience as a center on his resume, making him a versatile, valuable backup swing lineman for Denver.

Glasgow missed the second half of last season with an ankle injury, but he’s healthy again now and he played well in the team’s preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys last weekend.

“I thought he played really, really well in the game, and he’s just progressively gotten better,” coach Nathaniel Hackett said Tuesday.

“I think the more that he gets comfortable with coming back from the injury, the better he’s going to get. It’s great because he’s got a lot of flexibility inside. He can play guard, center — all those things. I think that’s really helpful for us. He’s done a nice job.”

Right now, Dalton Risner and Quinn Meinerz are the projected starters at guard for the Broncos, and Lloyd Cushenberry is the first-choice option at center. Glasgow will likely serve as the team’s top backup at all three positions, which is an important role given how many injuries happen on the line in a typical season.

He might not start in Week 1, but Glasgow will likely be called up at some point this fall.
