The 2024 NFL draft is now exactly one week away and Draft Wire has recently released draft needs for all 32 teams.
Draft Wire’s Curt Popejoy listed seven team needs for the Denver Broncos: quarterback, cornerback, defensive line, wide receiver, safety, linebacker, center.
Draft Wire’s list differs slightly from Broncos Wire’s team needs — in addition to QB, CB, DL, WR and ILB, we also have pass rusher, offensive tackle, tight end and running back listed as top needs for Denver.
Although the team released Justin Simmons this offseason, we do not have safety listed as a top need after the team signed Brandon Jones. Denver could draft a center, but we don’t have it listed as a key need after the team signed veteran Sam Mustipher.
The four other positions that we disagree on are OLB, OT, TE and RB (although pass rusher and “defensive line” could overlap). The OT position being a need also depends on the status of Garett Bolles. TE could use more depth and Denver only has one RB under contract for 2025.
With our disagreements noted, here’s a quick look at Draft Wire’s list of team needs for the Broncos going into the 2024 NFL draft.
