Buzz about Deshaun Watson potentially joining the Denver Broncos increased on Friday when ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that the Broncos and San Francisco 49ers are among the teams Watson is “intrigued by.”
Earlier this month, KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis also reported that Watson “would be interested” in joining Denver’s roster. Broncos safety Kareem Jackson also recently told TMZ Sports that Denver is an appealing destination for Watson, his former teammate.
Former NFL cornerback Darius Butler saw the rumors about Watson potentially joining the Broncos and shared a perfect reaction on Twitter.

If Watson lands in Denver, the AFC West would feature Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Derek Carr and Watson. Mahomes was NFL MVP, Herbert was Rookie of the Year, Carr is a three-time Pro Bowler and Watson is a three-time Pro Bowler who led the NFL in passing yards in 2020.
Butler played for three NFL teams during his nine-year career, primarily with the Indianapolis Colts. He went 2-4 in six career games against the Broncos, totaling two interceptions in those contests.
