The Denver Broncos will likely make several trades during the 2022 NFL draft this weekend, but before making any swaps, the Broncos are scheduled to have nine selections.
Here’s a look at the team’s picks in this year’s draft.
Denver Broncos 2022 NFL draft picks
Round 2: 64 (via Los Angeles Rams)
Round 3: 75 (own pick)
Round 3: 96 (via Los Angeles Rams)
Round 4: 115 (own pick)
Round 4: 116 (via Seattle Seahawks)
Round 5: 152 (own pick)
Round 6: 206 (via Philadelphia Eagles)
Round 7: 232 (own pick)
Round 7: 234 (via Detroit Lions)
The Broncos don’t have a first-round pick this year after trading it to the Seahawks in exchange for quarterback Russell Wilson. Denver did net a fourth-round pick from Seattle as part of the trade, though.
The Broncos also landed second- and third-round picks from the Rams in exchange four outside linebacker Von Miller last fall. In the sixth round, Denver acquired a pick from the Eagles in exchange for cornerback Kary Vincent Jr. (a former seventh-round draft pick).
The Broncos also secured an extra seventh-round pick by trading wide receiver Trinity Benson to the Detroit Lions last year. It’s safe to say general manager George Paton enjoys wheeling and dealing draft picks.
The draft will begin on Thursday evening.
