Been a while since I have commented. I am a couple podcast behind and the most recent one you guys were talking about how you would prefer an elite wide receiver like Stefon Diggs over Sutton and Patrick. Especially seeing how the league is overvaluing wide receiver right now I disagree. The amount a receiver contributes to a team success compared to the percentage they use against the salary cap is probably the worst position. Being an elite wide receiver requires one of two things an elite quarterback or quite literally being the only receiving threat on a team. Diggs did not become elite until he had Josh Allen and that is considering he had a top 12 quarterback with Kirk Cousins. Another example is Cooper Kupp with Stafford. Also bringing it back to my point that receivers are overvalued the top 20 wide receivers with the most yards only 7 were selected in the first round. This trend seems to be true for most receiver stats whether that is yards or touchdowns. If I were a GM I would not pay a receiver over 10% of the salary cap which is currently about 20 million. Also I would not waste a 1st round pick on a receiver. One team that has followed this philosophy and always have great receivers is the Steelers. Hopefully I have convinced you guys!
