Chris Harris Jr. obviously loves the addition of Jahdae Barron. Here’s what he has had to say about the addition.
It’s always nice to have a Denver Broncos legend chime in on a rookie who plays the same position they did. Chris Harris Jr. is the logical choice to interview to talk about how Jahdae Barron might fit in with the unit. On the Up & Adams show, he talked about the fit and what we might expect from the unit as a whole this season.
Is there a DB position competition brewing in Denver?

Harris leaned into his own experience as a sophomore heading into his second season. At the time, the Broncos brought in a slew of guys to compete and Harris had to fight his way for playing time. We all know how that worked out as CHJ is remembered as one of the greatest cornerbacks in Broncos history.
The addition of Barron creates some unique competition. Competition between Barron and Riley Moss and between Barron and Ja’Quan McMillian. That could, in turn, lead to competition between Moss and McMillian. The outcome is likely to be a pretty damn good secondary with quality depth for the first time in years.
In a perfect world, we see Barron mostly inside who can swing outside depending on matchups. The versatility he will provide the back end of the defense is going to make a huge difference in many games. That is why you take the best damn player you can find in the first round — especially when it comes to a premium position group like cornerback.
