The Denver Broncos go into halftime up 24-0 over the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Denver Broncos kept up their drive that ended in the first quarter just shy of the midfield. Things began to slow down after back-to-back screen attempts to Marvin Mims Jr. that netted a total of six yards. Bo Nix, on third and four, went back to the Courtland Sutton well who made an insane catch at the first down marker for yet another first down.
An offensive pass interference call, however, negated the play. On third and 14, Nix checked down to Javonte Williams who was left uncovered who ran for 14 yards and was stopped inches shy. They’d go for it again on fourth down again behind a Bo Nix sneak.

Bo Nix would set the Broncos rookie record for completions at 17 and counting after hitting Devaughn Vele on a double-deflection and touchdown to cap an 11 minute drive with that score.

Broncos 21, Chiefs 0.
Carson Wentz finally got a first down throw for a nice gain to give the Chiefs their first play on the Broncos side of the field. That seemed to be all they’d get, but on fourth and four just outside of field goal range they’d go for it. Wentz went straight to Samaje Perine who was uncovered out of the backfield to pick up the first down.
Outside of the two minute warning, Jonathon Cooper set the Chiefs back big with a sack on Wentz to setup a third and 13 and a false start penalty made it third and 18. Nik Bonitto didn’t like not being in the mix, so he got a sack on Wentz to help the Broncos defense to set the franchise record for most sacks in a season at 60.
Harrison Butker would then hook the 51-yard field goal attempt to keep the Chiefs off the board and giving Denver’s offense a chance to score before halftime.
On the first play, Bo Nix takes off on a run up the middle for a massive gain. He lateraled to Javonte Williams to complete a 50-yard gain, but it turned out to be a forward pass so those extra yards were negated. He still picked up 27-yards on the play and the Broncos were in business with plenty of time left on the clock.
Nix got loose again on the next play for a 30+ yards gain, but a holding penalty on Quinn Meinerz negated that one too. So Nix goes to deep to Courtland Sutton for a 32-yard gain where Nix had his first incompletion of the game with six seconds left to bring out Wil Lutz for the field goal.
