Broncos WR Tim Patrick: 'Jerry Jeudy is really good, like really, really good'

July 22, 2021 by Broncos Wire Leave a Comment

Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy had an up-and-down rookie season that was marred by 10 dropped passes. Jeudy has had a great offseason, though, and he’s looking to put the woes of 2020 behind him in his second season.

Last month, Broncos veteran receiver Tim Patrick was asked how Jeudy handled the ups and downs of his first season in the NFL.

“I think he handled it well,” Patrick said on June 2.” Obviously, he could have handled it better at some points, but he’s was a rookie. He puts a lot on his shoulders, and he wants to be great really bad. Stuff happens. Going into Year 2 — I’ve said it already: Jerry Jeudy is really good, like really, really good.

“For him, it’s all mental at this point. He knows he can get open against anybody in this league. Now it’s at the point that he just has to put it on film and remind them of who he is. That’s it.”

Judging from Patrick’s remarks, it seems safe to assume Jeudy could be on the verge of a breakout season in 2021 after using 2020 as a learning experience. Jeudy will get his first chance to make a statement when Denver faces the New York Giants on the road in Week 1.
