Broncos WR Jerry Jeudy shows off one-hand catch skills

July 15, 2021 by Broncos Wire Leave a Comment

Denver Broncos second-year wide receiver Jerry Jeudy took to Instagram earlier this week to show off his one-hand catch skills. Jeudy shared the footage from one of his workouts with fellow receiver Tim Patrick.

Zac Stevens of DNVR posted the video from Jeudy’s Instagram story on Twitter on Tuesday:

Given his drop problems last season, the Broncos probably don’t want Jeudy to make one-handed catches a common practice. Denver would undoubtedly prefer Jeudy to use two hands to improve his chances of catching, but the drill does have merit.

If a defensive back is holding one of Jeudy’s arms back, for example, he has the ability to catch the pass with one hand. That’s something that teammate Courtland Sutton has done in the past, so one-hand grabs are a useful skill.

Jeudy played in all 16 games as a rookie last season, catching 52 passes for 856 yards and three touchdowns. His 856 receiving yards led the team in 2020.
