The Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans have released their final practice reports. Here is a breakdown of who may or may not play on Monday.
All eyes have been on Denver Broncos star wide receiver Courtland Sutton this week as he worked to come back from a sprained AC joint. He has made strides to return, but he’ll remain a 50-50 proposition heading into Week 1.
“He’s questionable in the truest sense of the word, 50-50.” Head Coach Vic Fangio said of Sutton on Saturday, “He’s made great strides.”
As for rookie KJ Hamler and his hamstring issue, Fangio was less optimistic about his NFL debut this week, saying, “He’s less questionable. He probably won’t make it, but there’s an outside chance. He’s questionable.”
Fangio also confirmed that obviously Von Miller is out for this game, but he also ruled ILB Mark Barron out for this game as well. Everyone else is a go, including OLB Bradley Chubb who has been nursing tendinitis in his knee for the last few weeks. Chubb alluded that he is back to normal on Saturday, so that is a good sign with Miller out for an extended period of time.
“It was pretty much a little tendinitis and working back from an ACL injury where they used my patellar tendon,” Chubb said. “Of course, it’s going to pull and tug a little bit and get a little uncomfortable at times. After that, I took a little rest, a little down time and a lot of recovery in the training room. I tried not to do too much on it and let it calm down. I feel like it’s back to normal.”
As for the Tennessee Titans, they have a bit of an injury bug going on themselves. They have ruled four players out and another is questionable. Their first-round pick, Isaiah Wilson, was also arrested for a DUI on Friday and is likely going to be held out of Monday night’s game too.
