Broncos tackle Calvin Anderson advises Texans to preserve gas

February 17, 2021 by Broncos Wire Leave a Comment

Texas has been hit hard by a winter storm, causing power outages and record-low temperatures.

Denver Broncos offensive tackle Calvin Anderson played high school football in Austin, Texas and college football for the University of Texas. He now lives in Houston and he posted a PSA to fellow Texans on his Twitter page on Wednesday.

“Gas stations are primarily out of fuel.” Anderson tweeted. “Don’t expend the fuel you do have to go out searching for gas. Save it since we don’t have a reliable timeline for the current situation. I’ve checked 15-20 today.

“Please retweet to let others know, and stay warm/safe.”

The Broncos were among the first to respond to the tweet.

Stay safe. 🙏

Anderson is scheduled to become an exclusive rights free agent in March. Anderson dressed for all 16 games last season, starting in two contests.
