In a two-round NFL mock draft for Draft Wire, Curt Popejoy has the Denver Broncos adding a linebacker and wide receiver with their first two picks.
In the first round, the Broncos select Georgia linebacker Jalon Walker at No. 20. Walker (6-2, 245 pounds) won the Butkus Award last fall as college football’s best linebacker. He earned first-team All-American recognition after totaling 60 tackles, 6.5 sacks, two pass breakups and two fumble recoveries in 14 games.
With their second pick in the mock, Denver selects Miami wide receiver Xavier Restrepo at No. 51. Restrepo (5-10, 198 pounds) was named a consensus All-American in 2024 after hauling in 69 receptions for 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns in 12 games.
Linebacker and receiver are among the team’s top needs this spring.
Of note, Popejoy has Penn State tight end Tyler Warren going off the board at pick No. 14 to the Indianapolis Colts and running back Ashton Jeanty going to the Chicago Bears at pick No. 10.
Michigan tight end Colston Loveland, who has been a popular pick for Denver in mock drafts, goes to the Los Angeles Chargers at No. 22.
