All-Pro Zach Allen of the Denver Broncos is in a contract year. Just how big of a season will we see from him in 2025?

One of the best moves the Denver Broncos made in 2023 was signing Zach Allen. Vance Joseph knew the trajectory of this young player with their time together on the Arizona Cardinals.

Allen has been a big time play maker for the Broncos and last year earned 2nd team All-Pro accolades for the tremendous season he put together: 61 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, 1 PD, and a whopping 40 quarterback hits.

How he fits with the Broncos

Premier defensive linemen are hard to come by in the NFL, and the Broncos have that in Allen. He’s a dominating presence up front who is capable of wrecking any lineman in a one-on-one battle. I would strongly argue that it is Allen’s play on the inside that is elevating the Bronco OLBs Nik Bonitto and Jonathan Cooper level of effectiveness.

Allen is irreplaceable in all honesty. He demands double teams and destroys running plays to his side of the field. He’s capable of a big play every snap. He’s also in superb health as a player and hasn’t missed a game in his 2 years with the Broncos.

Final Word

Zach Allen is a star and is only going to burn brighter over the next couple of seasons. These are likely his prime years as an NFL player and the sky is the limit. He’s in the perfect situation with the Broncos. He’s got a coach that knows exactly how to use his capabilities and design opportunities for him to go make plays. Allen is the #1 starter on the defensive line and likely #2 overall for the defense behind Patrick Surtain II.
