Russell Wilson’s been everywhere this offseason.
Just last week, the Denver Broncos quarterback was in Europe. Wilson trained at the facility of AS Monaco, a soccer team near France, then he visited Wembley Stadium to promote the Broncos’ upcoming game in London this fall.
After that, Wilson attended Wimbledon with his wife, Ciara. The QB and his wife then made a stop in Germany before a special meeting at an undisclosed location. Wilson and Ciara met with Mellody Hobson and her husband, Star Wars creator George Lucas.
Hobson is set to join the Walton-Penner ownership group that has agreed to buy the Broncos. The sale is still pending approval from NFL owners, but that approval is expected to arrive this summer.
“What a tremendous accomplishment and what a gift to be able to do what she’s going to do,” Wilson said in June. “She’s the first Black woman to do this. This is a big deal. This is history. I think it’s gone over people’s heads a little bit. It’s news. It’s a tremendous representation for minorities, but Blacks in particular.”
Hobson and Lucas live in California with their daughter, Everest.
