Broncos Punter Jeremy Crawshaw Named To PFWA All-Rookie Team

January 22, 2026 by Last Word On Pro Football

Denver Broncos Punter Jeremy Crawshaw earned a spot on the Pro Football Writers of America’s All-Rookie Team for the 2025 NFL season. As a result, he was the only Broncos player to receive recognition as one of the league’s top first-year performers. The honor highlights Crawshaw’s impact on Denver’s special teams during his rookie campaign.

Crawshaw has seen the field a lot in his first season

Originally from Australia, the Broncos selected Crawshaw with the 216th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft out of Florida. Notably, teams had good reason to value him highly, as he was the only punter selected in his draft class. Throughout the season, Denver has relied heavily on Crawshaw as the offense struggled at times. Due to this, he ranks third among all kickers in total punts, booting the ball 75 times.

The rookie kicked one of the longest punts in 2025

In addition to his high workload, Crawshaw recorded his longest punt of the season, a 76-yard boot, during Denver’s 18-15 road win over the Houston Texans on Nov. 2. In that game, he punted a season-high eight times, averaged 53.5 yards per punt, and finished with 428 total punt yards. Crawshaw has the second-longest punt in 2025 behind Minnesota Vikings punter Ryan Wright, whose season-long was 77 yards.

He has an opportunity to continue helping Denver in the postseason

More recently, in Denver’s 33-30 Divisional Round win over the Buffalo Bills, Crawshaw punted four times and averaged 47 yards per attempt. His longest punt traveled 65 yards. While frequent punts aren’t ideal for a team chasing a Super Bowl, Crawshaw consistently helps Denver by pinning opposing offenses deep in their own territory. As a result, his ability to flip field position makes it more difficult for opponents to score. Looking ahead, the Broncos will once again rely on Crawshaw’s leg Sunday against the New England Patriots, especially if the offense struggles without its starting quarterback.
