Broncos OL Quinn Meinerz agrees to 4-year contract

July 21, 2021 by Broncos Wire Leave a Comment

The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms on a four-year contract with rookie offensive lineman Quinn Meinerz, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.

Meinerz (6-3, 320 pounds) is scheduled to earn $4,785,850 over four years, according to OverTheCap.com. That’s an average of just over $1.19 million per season.

Meinerz, one of the team’s third-round picks in April’s draft, has quickly become a fan favorite. His good-natured personality, impressive outdoor workouts and his habit of “letting the belly breathe” have all been well-received in Broncos Country.

Meinerz can play at either guard position and at center. His versatility will be a great asset if Denver has any injuries on the offensive line this season.

Meinerz is set to compete with Lloyd Cushenberry for the starting center job at training camp. If the rookie doesn’t win starting duties, he will likely serve as one of the team’s top backup interior offensive lineman this fall.

The Broncos now have two more members of their draft class left to sign: running back Javonte Williams and linebacker Baron Browning.
