Broncos Wire’s 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at fourth-year defensive lineman Jonathan Harris, No. 92.
Before the Broncos: Harris (6-5, 295 pounds) was originally signed by the Chicago Bears, but he was cut two games into the 2019 season. Later that season, he was picked up by the Broncos, playing three more games in 2019. He was waived by Denver in 2020, but was brought back in 2021, recording five tackles in three games.
Broncos tenure: Harris has played a collective six games with Denver, recording 17 tackles and taking 71 snaps in that time. His impact has been extremely limited because of the number of snaps he has been on the field for.
Chances to make the 53-man roster: Harris has only played eight games in his three previous seasons, and that inexperience hurts his chances to make the team. The Broncos have a crowded defensive line room so Harris will face an uphill battle to make the team, but he’s got a shot.
