Broncos offseason roster: No. 52, OL Netane Muti

June 19, 2022 by Broncos Wire

Broncos Wire‘s 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at third-year offensive lineman Netane Muti, No. 52.

Before the Broncos: Muti (6-3, 315 pounds) played college football at Fresno State. He entered the draft after consecutive season-ending injuries. Muti played just five games in his final two collegiate seasons. But as a redshirt freshman, the offensive lineman started all 14 games. Muti earned an All-Mountain West honorable mention notice as well.

Broncos tenure: Muti, 23, entered the draft as a redshirt junior. Because of his injuries, he fell to the sixth round of the 2020 NFL draft. Muti has appeared in 19 games (4 starts) in two seasons with the Broncos. He’s allowed three sacks in that span.

Chances to make the 53-man roster Muti, a Hawai native, is all but certain to the make the Broncos’ 53-man roster. He’s cheap labor playing on his rookie deal, with starter potential. Muti will contend for a guard spot during training camp. At worst, he’s one of the team’s top backup lineman.
