Broncos Wire‘s 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at undrafted rookie free agent inside linebacker Kadofi Wright, No. 48.
Before the Broncos: A Virginia native, Wright (6-3, 230 pounds) played college football at the University of Buffalo. He played a fifth season as a redshirt senior. In his final collegiate season, Wright totaled 49 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for losses, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, an interception, a QB hit and five pass breakups. Indeed, the inside linebacker can play sideline to sideline. And is not a liability in pass coverage. Wright will compete for an active roster spot this summer.
Chances to make the 53-man roster: With Brandon Browning kicking outside to OLB, Wright’s odds to make the Broncos’ 53-man roster, in theory, went up. But he’ll have to beat out veteran inside linebackers Jonas Griffith and Alex Singleton for a starting spot. Wright is likely playing for a practice squad spot entering Week 1 of this season. Preseason will ultimately be our judge.
