Broncos' last-second winner vs. Chargers made NFL's list of Top 100 plays from 2020

The Denver Broncos’ last-second touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 8 made the NFL’s list of Top 100 plays from the 2020 season. Late in the game, quarterback Drew Lock rolled right and threw the ball to wide receiver KJ Hamler, who secured the catch for a game-tying score with no time left.

Broncos kicker Brandon McManus then converted an extra point attempt to secure a 31-30 win. The score is ranked No. 35 on the NFL’s list of top plays from last season.

“When we were in the huddle, I said to the team you know, this is how legends are made right here,” Hamler recalled after the game. “We got to playing and everything went blank. As soon as I seen the ball coming to me, the first thing I thought was just secure the catch and fall because we’re on the one-yard line, you don’t want to run with it after, so just secure the catch and fall away. Drew put it on the money.”

Hamler battled through several injuries as a rookie but he was productive when healthy, catching 30 passes for 381 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed nine times for 40 yards, averaging 4.4 yards per carry.
