Denver Broncos kicker Brandon McManus is set to hit the links next week.
McManus has accepted an invitation to compete in the Colorado Open, according to KOA Radio’s Brandon Krisztal. This will mark the second time Denver’s kicker has participated in the tournament.
The Colorado Open is held at the Green Valley Ranch in Denver. It will run from July 21-24. Here are the details, per the tournament’s website:
The format is 72 holes of stroke play. The top 60 finishers and ties after 36 holes of play advance to the final two rounds. Anyone that completes the final round earns a share of the prize purse!
This event is open to professionals and amateurs with active USGA R&A Handicap Indexes not exceeding 2.4 at the time of entry.
In an interview with Colorado Avid Golfer in 2019, McManus said he typically scores between 78 to 81. That was three years ago, though, so perhaps we’ll see the kicker post an even better score next week.
