Nathaniel Hackett is getting the band back together.
Hackett, the former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator and new Denver Broncos head coach, has now hired two former members of Green Bay’s coaching staff.
First, Hackett signed Packers tight ends coach Justin Outten as his offensive coordinator. After that, Hackett moved to finalize a deal with Butch Barry to become Denver’s new offensive line coach, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.
Barry was an assitant offensive line coach with the San Francisco 49ers last season but he coached in Green Bay with Hackett and Outten in 2020. Before that, he was the OL coach at the University of Miami in 2019.
Barry was an assistant OL coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2015-2018, and he worked for four different colleges before that.
Barry will be replacing respected offensive line coach Mike Munchak, who the Broncos have surprisingly decided to part ways with. It remains to be seen if Chris Kuper, Munchak’s assistant OL coach, will stay in Denver.
