The Denver Broncos have hired Christian Parker as their new defensive backs coach, the team announced Monday. Parker is replacing former DBs coach Renaldo Hill, who recently accepted a defensive coordinator position with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Parker served as the Green Bay Packers’ defensive quality control coach from 2019-2020. He coached for five colleges before that, including Notre Dame. Before becoming a coach, Parker played wide receiver and cornerback for the University of Richmond.
Last week, the Broncos hired Chris Cook as an offensive quality control coach. Cook replaced Rob Calabrese, who left Denver to join the New York Jets as their new quarterbacks coach earlier this offseason.
In related coaching news, the Minnesota Vikings have promoted Klint Kubiak to offensive coordinator. Klint is the son of former Broncos quarterback and coach Gary Kubiak, a four-time Super Bowl champion.
