Good Morning Broncos Country!
Good Morning
The Broncos finished up their minicamp practices on Thursday, and Broncos Head Coach Sean Payton singled out second-year wide receiver Troy Franklin as a player whom he believes has had a “good spring”.

Payton told reporters that you’re seeing Franklin playing faster than he did last season and with a “much greater awareness within each play”. He continued by saying that Franklin is “extremely explosive,” and that he added five pounds to his frame, and that he is “a little thicker” than he was last season. He finished by saying that the explosive receiver has had a good spring.
“There’s that saying that repetition is the mother of learning. You’re seeing him play faster with a much greater awareness within each play. He’s extremely explosive, and I think he’s, I would say, five pounds heavier. A little thicker. He’s had a good spring.”
Franklin was singled out as a player who has made some explosive plays during OTA’s and now, he is getting some hype during the Broncos minicamp practices. You cannot get too carried away about June practices, but it’s good to see Franklin stand out when he was rarely mentioned during training camp last season.
Hopefully, he can continue this play into training camp when the pads come on and into the regular season. Having a player like Franklin have a breakout year would be huge for the Broncos’ passing game, and we hope it happens.
With OTAs and minicamp in the books, comes the long six or so week break with little to no Broncos news before the start of training camp. My least favorite time of the year as a fan and blogger, but training camp will be here before we know it.
