Denver Broncos general manager George Paton is expected to attend Notre Dame’s pro day on Wednesday, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.
The top Fighting Irish prospects in this year’s class are linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and offensive tackle Liam Eichenberg. Linebacker and tackle are among Denver’s top draft needs this year.
Owusu-Koramoah (6-1, 215 pounds) totaled 142 tackles — including 24.5 tackles for losses — seven sacks, seven pass breakups, five forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, one interception and one defensive touchdown in two seasons at Notre Dame.
“JOK” is considered the second-best inside linebacker in this year’s class, according to Luke Easterling’s rankings on Draft Wire. Penn State’s Micah Parsons is ranked No. 1 (Paton went to the Nittany Lions’ pro day last week).
Eichenberg (6-6, 302 pounds) earned second-team All-American honors from the Associated Press and first team All-ACC honors in 2020. Draft Wire has him ranked as the 10th-best offensive tackle in this year’s class.
The Broncos are scheduled to have nine picks in April’s NFL draft.
