Broncos fans think the team will go running back with their first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft

Most fans think the Denver Broncos will end up going running back with their first pick of the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Denver Broncos have one significant hole they must address this week during the 2025 NFL Draft and that is at the running back position. Fortunately for them, this draft class looks pretty deep at the position. So it begs the question, do they actually need to target a running back with their first pick?

As part of our FanDuel sponsored SB Nation Reacts survey this week, I asked that of fans this week and a solid majority came back with the same assessment that the national media has come to, which is that Denver is going running back with that first pick.

After that 54%, there was a pretty even split between fans who think the Broncos will go with the defensive side of the ball or those who think they’ll go for one of the top tight ends in this years’ draft.

As someone who lives in the Boise area, I’ve been living in a fantasy world where Denver somehow trades up for Boise State runner Ashton Jeanty. However, his stock only seems to keep rising and the team I’m most worried will snag him is the Jacksonville Jaguars. Most NFL fans still think they’ll go in another direction, so if that happens my hopes to see Denver trade up to the ninth spot with the New Orleans Saints will remain alive.

And yes, I know I’m dreaming… but that is what this pre-draft period of time is all about.
