The 2024 NFL draft is just over one week away and it’s time for an updated seven-round mock draft for the Denver Broncos.
Before we jump into the mock, be aware that there are three trades involved. First, the Broncos send left tackle Garett Bolles to the New England Patriots in exchange for a second-round pick. With tackles flying off the board in the first round, New England gets a proven commodity in Bolles after missing out on the top LTs in this year’s class.
After that, Denver trades wide receiver Courtland Sutton to the Arizona Cardinals for a third-round pick. Yes, that’s perhaps a bit pricy for Sutton, but the Cardinals have six of the top 90 picks in the draft, including three picks in the third round. Arizona might be more willing to part with picks than other WR-needy teams.
Finally, in a third trade, the Broncos send a fifth-round pick to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for Taysom Hill. He feels like a realistic trade target and it’s hard to imagine the Saints commanding more than that in a trade.
As for Denver’s quarterback situation, the Broncos do not have the draft capital to trade up for Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye or J.J. McCarthy, who could all go off the board in the top five picks. And in this mock draft, Denver’s staff is not in love with Bo Nix, Michael Penix or Spencer Rattler, leading to a somewhat surprising decision at QB.
With those notes in mind, let’s jump into our Broncos mock draft!
