Four Denver Broncos players most recently were announced to the NFL NGS All-Pro team. NGS stands for Next Gen Stats, which uses unique analytic data to showcase NFL players successes.
The four players are guard Quinn Meinerz on offense, cornerback Pat Surtain and defensive lineman Zach Allen on defense, and Marvin Mims on special teams.
Meinerz allowed “one or fewer pressures in 11 games this season, which is tied for the most such games by a guard since at least 2018 (as far back as NGS blocking data goes),” according to NFL.com. “As a result, Meinerz allowed a mere 3.6% pressure rate — the lowest among all guards — while surrendering only one sack.”
Meanwhile, Allen became “the first defensive tackle since [Aaron] Donald (in 2021) to crack the top 10 in total pressures (67, tied for ninth-most),” per NFL.com. “His dominance extended to run defense, too: He recorded the third-most run tackles for loss or no gain (20) among all players and posted the second-highest run-stuff rate (6.5%) among defensive tackles with at least 200 run snaps.”
