The Denver Broncos have taken the field for Day 5 of publicly open training camp. Join the discussion on today’s happenings here in the comments section.
Welcome to Day 5 of Denver Broncos training camp. The big news out of camp yesterday was all about how dominant the defense has been to start camp. That is typical as the offensive install tends to take some time to ramp up.
Sean Payton also hyped up rookie running back RJ Harvey, but the biggest news came out of the inside linebacker position with a lot of people talking about Levelle Bailey. Don’t be surprised if Bailey ends up starting this season, but it is early. We’ll have to see what happens there.
Broncos training camp Day 5 live updates
What does J.K. Dobbins think about the dynamic in the RB room with he and RJ Harvey?

Haven’t seen rookie OLB Que Robinson as team walkthroughs start at #Broncos camp today. Was visibly limping at end of practice yesterday.
Also no sign of WR Devaughn Vele.

My favorite weight room out of alllll of them in the NFL. The @broncos weight room is sickkkkk and they are putting in an even sicker one next offseason. I have they as my #1 rated workout facility in the entire NFL. I love this set up!!!@nflonfox #GlazeAcrossAmerica pic.twitter.com/UbSKtoKrcu

Troy Franklin just had an INCREDIBLE 1on1series.
Troy an amazing touchdown grab over Jahdae Barron, per @christomasson, in tight coverage.
Then had a diving contested catch over the middle of the field.
Really, really impressive.

GREAT one-on-one period for Troy Franklin. TD deep past Barron, beat tight coverage, over the shoulder grab. Later had a catch despite having his jersey grabbed. Another standout was Abrams-Draine, who read Mims’ cut well & stayed with him tightly downfield. Good stuff

Great competition during 1-on-1’s with a nice PBU by Riley Moss covering Troy Franklin and then Troy came back and won a rep vs Jahdae Barron for a deep 40 yard completion. Sutton won both matchups vs PS2 and Pat Bryant had an impressive over the shoulder catch for a 45 yard TD.…

First throw of team period:
Bo Nix rollout to the right, rips it in tight coverage to Troy Franklin.
Troy rips the ball away from the defender and hauls it in, but by the time he got possession likely out of bounds.
Impressive play by Franklin non the less.

Levelle Bailey had a monster team period against the run just now. Filled the hole and stopped Estime on one run, then shot over to the outside and brought down McLaughlin two plays later. Making the most of his chance.

Pretty standout day early on for Bailey.
He stuffed several runs, blew up Jaleel on one play, stuffed Estime. https://t.co/xoDKTkqFw8

Takeaways from first #Broncos 11-on period of camp:
—Blake Watson ran better than any RB
—Levelle Bailey made a couple great plays on run-stuffs
—Kyrese Rowan with a tough drop after a beautiful route
—Kris Abrams-Draine with a nice read to blow up a screen to Evan Engram— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) July 30, 2025
Beautiful play fake pass from Bo Nix to Trent Sherfield for a 25 yard completion along the right sideline. Defense has been swarming again today but that was a smooth operation for the 1st team offense. #Broncos @KOAColorado

After a great cut on a play, J.K. Dobbins then came over to the defensive players on the sideline and talked some pretty good trash. Was all alone and opposed multiple players but didn’t back down. Been a lot of smack talk today, mainly from the D. @KOAColorado #BroncosCountry
