The Denver Broncos did not listen to the consensus opinions from draft pundits on Thursday night, opting to select Oregon quarterback Bo Nix with the 12th overall pick in the first round instead of trading down.
Nix has since arrived in Denver and he held an introductory press conference on Friday afternoon. Before that presser, he also had a conference call with Broncos reporters on Thursday night.
“It means a lot,” Nix said of being picked by Denver. “I can’t thank them enough for taking me, and for putting their beliefs in me … there’s a lot in the future that’s going to need to be done — a lot of work to be done, a lot of growing and a lot of getting better. I just appreciate the value that they had in me.”
The Broncos now have four quarterbacks on their roster as Nix joins a room that already included Jarrett Stidham, Zach Wilson and Ben DiNucci. Here’s what we know about Nix landing in Denver.
