NHL Predictions Senators Edition With Sunday Action of Ottawa at Dallas Stars

November 30, 2025 by Last Word On Hockey

Welcome to another Ottawa Senators edition of NHL Predictions with us here at Last Word On Hockey, as they take on the Dallas Stars in a local suppertime Sunday game. Both teams possess high-end skill at similar roster spots. It will make for an intense and hard fought game. Check out our statistical analysis and insights, next.

NHL Predictions with the Senators at the Stars

Dallas won their first meeting of the year 3-2 in overtime.

Start Time: 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

How to Watch: TVAS, TSN5, Victory+

Location: American Airlines Center from Dallas, Texas

The longer the season goes along, and Ottawa seem more and more like a contender in the Atlantic Division. It is far too early to suggest entire Eastern Conference, but you can see the stars aligning. Dallas, Big D. Yes, the Stars are loaded with high-end talent. You can gameplan for them, however, if their star players are firing on all cylinders, they are hard to beat.

The Story for the Dallas Stars in 2025-26

Jason Robertson, Roope Hintz, Miro Heiskanen, Jake Oettinger, and forgetting someone…just former Colorado Avalanche Stanley Cup winner Mikko Rantanen. They have depth and talent, and make no mistake, remain the class of the Central Division.

The amazing thing about Dallas is the old guard is still there contributing. Captain Jamie Benn is not long back regular following a collapsed lung injury recovery. Additionally, Tyler Seguin still has as silky of mitts as anyone.

Part of the reason we know the Stars are so strong is the emergence of a player like Wyatt Johnston. He’s a young player proven to elevate his game when the game is on the line. Dude can find twine with the best of them when he is sniping.

Robertson leads the team in goals (15). Also, powered by those goals, he has a two-point lead over Rantanen for the team’s lead in scorers (32 to 30).

Just How the Senators Matchup

Ottawa possesses a recognized depth in high-end talent, in their own right. Perhaps they do it more quietly, throughout the ranks of the NHL. Dylan Cozens, Tim Stutzle, Drake Batherson, Brady Tkachuk, Shane Pinto, shall we go on? These guys are winners. It’s tough to suggest otherwise than the obvious.

In goal, all things being considered equal, Linus Ullmark tends the net. Minds the cage. Keeps the goal, as they say.

For all the Sens latest lineup news and notes, check this out. However, we will add our disclaimer for the very latest social media updates before locking in your daily fantasy rosters.

The Ottawa Senators can’t wait to have winger Ridly Greig back with the group. Yesterday head coach Travis Green hinted that he “could” play tomorrow. With captain Tkachuk recently back in the lineup, the Sens are almost back to full health. It will be somewhat interesting to see their lines once everyone is back healthy.

For the Sens, some of the usual suspects have been firing away and landing on the gamesheet. The Sens have five forwards with 16-or-more points. That’s a pace of 55+ points, if things continue accordingly. Claude Giroux, along with the guys already mentioned are the best offensive players this season. Pinto has a one-goal edge (12 to 11) over Stutzle for the team lead in goals. Furthermore, we go with Stutzle in the points lead, at 23.

On the blueline, Thomas Chabot was placed on the injured reserve yesterday. Dennis Gilbert was recalled, but it is for further support in the possibility that Tyler Kleven can’t go. Kleven skated Saturday, but his status is unconfirmed at this time.

As for Gilbert, you may remember he was recently acquired from the Philadelphia Flyers for Max Guenette. Gilbert provides depth as a left shot defenceman. Furthermore, his toughness is a big asset, and possibly allows Ottawa to run a more offensive lineup.

NHL Predictions

This should be a good one. A run-and-gun style game. Look for the goaltenders to make the highlights with high-danger saves. However, the skill among the collective forward groups will take over in this one. Ottawa comes in at 12-8-4, while Dallas is 16-5-4. We like Ottawa in this one, but only by a smidge.

Prediction: Dallas 3 – Ottawa 4

Prop Bets

For the guys to find twine, Jason Robertson and Brady Tkachuk are ideal candidates for the position. A three-leg parlay with the exact score is +15K. Sometimes it’s worth the adventure.
